My name is Tavis Alley, and I've been playing guitar for 8 years. I'm interested in all kinds of music, ranging from indie/folk to grindcore and everything in between. Some of my favorite bands are: The Fall of Troy, Jimmy Eat World, old Taking Back Sunday, LYDIA, Brand New, Saosin, ETC. I've played in a few bands, and even fronted for a metalcore band (haha. and yes, I can scream).

Anyway, I'm looking to join a band. I'd rather join one than form a new one because that process just takes so long, and I'm looking to start playing shows as soon as possible. I have a lot of energy live, and I like chocolate ice cream.

Orem based rock band seeking drummer

We are looking for a drummer with some experience playing live and in the studio- Someone old school who is just as comfortable on a basic 5 piece drum kit as they are on their own drum kit. A well-rounded player with their own flair and style, a need for making music based on love of performing and not motivated solely by money. Must be a Teamplayer, with dedication, loyalty and integrity. Age 21+ but please be mature and reliable.

Style is Heavy Southern rock with elements of outlaw country and old school punk mixed in- ala Black Label Society, Pride and Glory, Rebel Meets Rebel, Supersuckers, Drive-by Truckers, Skynrd, Allman Bros, etc. The right person should possess good snare technique for both rock and country styles, solid hi hat technique (meaning we don't want a guy who keeps the hats closed and both feet on the double kick), good internal clock, and ability to speak up and actively help to write songs and help shape them into something strong.

Mostly originals, but willingness to play our own versions of covers is a must. A fun stage presence and willingness to participate in jackassery for the sake of a great live show is required. We are a fun band, and there is some drinking and smoking. No heavy drinkers/alcoholics or hard drug users please. We can control our consumption and get the job done right, and we expect the same. Ego's are not allowed, they do nothing but ruin the fun for everyone else.

We rehearse one-two nights per week with emphasis on writing and preparing to record an album. Gigging is in the cards- but not a priority. There will be some out of state gigs from time to time as well. Secure, climate controlled rehearsal space in Orem - an easy shot just minutes from I-15. We have a decent 5 pc drum kit- you bring your sticks, brass and your skills.

If you are a drummer with good chops, a great sense of humor, and the need to be part of a band interested more in longevity, fun and love of music creation and performing, then come check us out. No drama, no BS, just good music.

Hello! There is a new orchestra forming with college students or older from all over the area. We are in need of more players of all different instruments!! All instruments are welcome.

We will be creating our OWN music that is unique--the orchestra does and will consist of musicians of all different musical backgrounds and a very very wide variety of instruments. There are many musicians out there who play exotic instruments but have limited to no chances of playing with other people. This is your chance!

Currently the orchestra is meeting in a temporary location, but will hopefully practice in the music department of UVU.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Creativity is important, but not necessary. You must be good at your instrument in order to be considered, and you must be dedicated to attending practice and be up to playing in concerts and recording.

We will be holding a meeting within the near future with all of the musicians who have been selected. Until then, I will be conducting a short, informal interview with whoever is interested in joining!!! You will be asked to play a few songs or compositions.

This new orchestra only has a few purposes: -To be fun/enjoyable -To be able to express yourself through music in whatever way shape or form you would like -To share our music with the world

Although this is primarily a fun way to express and play music, it is still something you have to consider dedicating yourself to. We will meet and practice during times that work best with the entire orchestra, and we will take breaks or call of meeting times if needed. However, this orchestra WILL be expecting to tour the country at other colleges and concert halls once fully established. This will most likely take more than a year to accomplish, so if you think you are moving soon then this isn't for you. However, if you plan on attending college here for a few more years or are planning to stay here for a while, this IS for you! This will be extremely unique, and something very few people have been able to do. The music will be different, and new.

Hey. I'm a 26 year UVU student. Just moved here from Austin and I'm trying to put together an Indie/Folk band. I really don't care to use a label though. In reality, I am just trying to find some guys that are down to jam and whatever happens happens.

I play guitar, bass, harmonica and a little piano. Influences are Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Muddy Waters, CocoRosie, The Doors, Nirvana, CCR, 2Pac, Bob Marley and a bunch of others I can't think of.

Your influences do not have to be the same as mine either. I would actually prefer they be different. I have worked with a lot of different people from many different genres. I just want to find people that are willing to experiment and create something that's unique.

U.S. based, nationally-distributed hard rock record label will be releasing a Stone Temple Pilots Tribute LP next spring across the US. To begin, the COVERS Disc is complete- which means we are NOT seeking STP covers. Instead, what we are seeking to do is something a little different with the bonus disc, which is to feature ORIGINAL ROCK/METAL bands who sound derivatively alike or similar to Stone Temple Pilots in some manner (be it songwriting, vocal range, riffs, etc) performing an ORIGINAL song of yours on the sampler disc. So the disc your band- if selected- would be included on is the BONUS SAMPLER. This album will be distributed nationally to retail outlets in the U.S., and features current/former members of major-name rock bands. Are there any musician's around here into the music of the band Rebel Meets Rebel?

Any of you interested in doing a Rebel Meets Rebel Tribute band for fun and to play a few gigs and see where it goes?

I can handle lead guitar, or rhythm and vocals. I have good gear, a small PA for rehearsals and rehearsal space in orem if needed I also do not mind traveling to the SLC area for rehearsals either.

If you like this band and are interested let me know. There are quite a few tribute bands out here, I figure why not this one? Great music a wide range of people can enjoy, this is something that hasn't been done to death(if at all) and tribute to a great guitarist that was taken before his time.

I'm a male singer with experience singing in a number of rock bands. My vocal style is most similar to Maynard from Tool or Pete from Chevelle. My favorite bands/influences include the two bands I already mentioned as well as many others including Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Drive-By Truckers, Bob Marley and the Wailers, and many, many more.
