Kawai built this piano during what I consider to be their best era, the early 1970s, when Japanese manufacturers really started competing seriously with the big American and European names. I've worked on Kawais for decades and have a lot of respect for how well they hold up over time.
Mechanically, we went through our full refurbishing checklist. The action’s regulated, keys are leveled, everything's clean and properly aligned, and it plays exactly how it should. Cosmetically, our refinishing team did a beautiful job refinishing this piano in satin black!
