Overview

Are you a home-décor-loving-papasan-preferring-customer-first Homebody (psst- we're all Homebodies here at Pier 1!)? If so, consider joining our team as a Sales Leader! ! A Sales Leader is a part-time position on our leadership team and helps our customers turn their houses into homes while also assisting in the coaching of our Pier 1 associates. As a Sales Leader, you will go all out to exceed our customers' expectations every day by presenting inventive solutions and possibilities for all of their home décor needs and use your talent, dedication, and creativity to bring our brand to life. Primary responsibilities include performing sales floor activities, executing merchandising and freight flow responsibilities and performing operational procedures including opening and closing the store.

  • Creates a customer experience that drives sales, loyalty and customer passion for our brand
  • Serves as a coach for customer experience behaviors and communicates information associates need to be successful
  • Helps customers create and build looks by using product, style and how-to education
  • Inspires customers and drives sales by applying visual merchandising guidance to set, update and replenish displays
  • Provides inspiration, product availability and pricing information to customers by using available tools.

Requirements

  • Six months to one year of retail management experience
  • True commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Strong communication skills
